Choosing Plan “A” in a Plan “B” World

Choosing Plan “A” in a Plan “B” World – Using various Biblical references, stories from Eugene’s life and the life of an intriguing Alliance Missionary, Susan Dyck - this four-part sermon series calls people to a greater intimacy with God. In Choosing Plan “A” in a Plan “B” World we need to embrace the fact that…

    • God Speaks to Us Clearly & Directly! (John 10:1-15) – Although God does speak to us clearly, we do need to learn how to listen for His voice. This topic will explore some of the barriers that might keep us from hearing God’s voice, and then conclude with learning how to recognize God’s voice more often.

    • God Speaks to Us Through Prayer! (Ephesians 6:18 & Romans 8:26) – Whether audibly or inaudibly, God chooses to speak to us through prayer revealing Himself and His will. To prepare us to hear His voice and experience His intimacy more fully we will look at the answers to two questions: How should we approach God in prayer – and – How can we tell when we’re praying in the Spirit?

    • God wants us to Embrace the Holy Spirit! (John 16:5-15) – A. W. Tozer once said something to this effect: when we say that the Holy Spirit dwells inside believers, this means that we are virtually as close to God, as though we were living in Heaven. This topic explores what it means to embrace the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

    • God Needs to be Number 1 in my Life! (Matthew 10:37-39) – This topic explores two attitude adjustments that Christian believers need to make in order for above premise to become a more consistent reality in our lives: one, recognizing that God is looking for ordinary people through whom He can do extraordinary things; and two, understanding that we need to allow God to stretch us beyond our past and present abilities, interests, talents and even spiritual giftedness.
